Went for my pre-trip vaccines today. The nurse said her husband was desperate to go to India but she wouldn't let him. Apparently they went to Africa once on a safari and they went to a township and she was put-off by the poverty and didn't want to be exposed to it again. She said 'life in Cumbria isn't like that'. I said that's a good reason to go to India. I've spent a lot of time in China in the past 15 years and that wasn't like Cumbria either. She didn't say anything more except that she wasn't going to China either.
Anyway, the injections are done - just got to get the visa now. Tried today, filled in the form and then submitted it and it just disappeared. Well they do when you submit them but there was no acknowledgement. Nothing. Pablo Picasso once said... "But they are useless. They can only give you answers" but not today dear Pablo. Just questions! Billo
