You guessed it!! Not only no reply from the Visa Office (which in light of developments is perhaps not catastrophic) but I found out that you need at least two empty pages in your passport for the visa - yep you got it, I've only got one! So what started as a meander now means becoming a pinball at the mercy of the wizard to get the passport to the passport office, get it back and get it to the visa office.
Get your running shoes on Billo (the new boots are a story for another day!), you're at their mercy!
