Got to Durham without incident, got the passport quickly and efficiently. The wide eyed kid who served me was imbued with the staff training manual - 'Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you - not because they are nice, but because you are'. No worries mate! Actual Passport Office much NICER than National Passport Hotline...
I didn't see John McEnroe coming to the booth beside me at first. In fact I didn't see him at all. I just heard the 'polite' counter person saying to a fellow applicant that the passport photo presented was unacceptable because "you are smiling too much". I just knew he was there when I heard a roaring, bellicose "YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!!" Billo
