As Theodore Roosevelt said so purposefully "make preparations in advance, as you never have trouble if you're prepared for it" and we have really taken this advice to heart. The planning is so meticulous - book after book, map after map, checking co-ordinates and drive times, working out the effects of varying thermal pressures on fuel consumption - just everything.
